Amy is an Autistic and ADHD clinical psychologist and board approved supervisor with over 25 years experience. Amy is compassionate and dedicated to working with you no matter how challenging your issue/s. You’ll appreciate Amy’s sense of humour, kindness, honesty and ability to think outside the box in all of her work.

Amy uses an integrative approach and tailors her treatment to you, your presenting issues and readiness for change. She has extensive training in a range of empirical based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), trauma focused therapies, Attachment Focused therapy, parts therapy and psychodynamic approaches. Amy also implements Eye Movement Densitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and is an accredited EMDR practitioner.

Amy is committed to working with her clients to identify the root of presenting issues and understand the influence of the past on present behaviour. She is recognised for her astuteness and providing a warm, sensitive and in-depth therapy. Amy’s therapeutic approach is founded on empathy, respect and validation.

Amy has particular clinical interests and expertise in trauma, dissociative issues and disorders, mood & anxiety, personality disorders, adult ADHD and Autism, interpersonal and relational issues. She works in a neuroaffirming way with all her clients, being neurodivergent herself, she embraces the idea that all brains and people are unique and it is this diversity that makes our community whole.

Amy is passionate about working with people who have experienced complex trauma and struggle with trauma and dissociative symptoms. She works from attachment and brain-based models, and aims to empower individuals to overcome the impact of early challenging experiences and work toward healing and developing more adaptive and functional current relationships. Amy has a particular interest in working with complex issues and presentations.
